Longest Guitar Performances

"The current holder of this record is uncertain. As you can see here, one effort is heavily documented and reported on, while the other has scant information at all. This sometimes happens, and is a perfect example of why I felt it necessary to do years worth of legwork and research to establish a reliable authority on the subject of marathon, musical world records. I have actually had the pleasure to meet Dave Browne in person, and he has also participated in a Longest Concert effort, at Ri Ra Irish Pub. He's a great musician, a good guy, and knows exactly what breaking these kind of records is all about. We just need more info to officially endorse Jeff Waschbusch with this record. If you are reading this, that hasn't happened yet." - JR

"This information is incomplete. While doing research, I have heard of 133 hour, 53 hour, and 28 hour Longest Guitar Performance efforts. I have not been able to find anything else out except that the 53 hour attempt was in India, between Andy Hoke's two successful tries, and the 28 hour one occurred in the Midwest of the US. If anyone has any other information, please send it our way. I expect that there are quite a few musical, marathon world records that I have missed, as well as many that are not provable in any fashion. There's something of a tragedy in that. This is the need we, as World Records of Music, are trying to meet." - JR
